Este mes de Marzo fue de enorme alegría ya que pudimos tener nuestro primer viaje de visita a México, ver a nuestra familia y amigos fue de mucho animo. Recibir tanto cariño, compartiendo un café o unos ricos tacos, palabras de animo, pasar tiempo juntos aun poder contarles todo lo que el Señor ha venido haciendo este ultimo año en Chile.
Estamos a punto de cumplir un año desde el día que salimos de nuestro país para seguir el camino que Dios había trazado para nosotros como familia en Santiago de Chile.
Dios nos sorprendió al ver a mucha gente que amamos y llevamos en el corazón, que han estado mes con mes leyendo cada carta y mas que eso, orando por nosotros y llevándonos en el corazón.
Fue muy especial ver la alegría de Dan al volverse a reencontrar con sus abuelos, su tía y su amigo mas cercano en Mexico, Liam, como conocer a su hermanita que nació hace 4 meses.
Dentro de los muchos pendientes que teníamos agendados como ir al banco y arreglas algunas cosas, Romina pudo ir al Juzgado de lo familiar para presentarse ante un requerimiento del juez por el caso de su primo Damian quien es discapacitado. Agradecemos al Señor que fue un proceso rápido y sin complicaciones.
Fue poco tiempo el que estuvimos en México pero lo aprovechamos al máximo, Dios recargo nuestro animo y fuerzas para regresar de nuevo a Chile con mucho trabajo, ya que Marzo es el mes en el que todo regresa a la normalidad dado que las estaciones aquí son opuestas a centro y norte America. El calendario y el país como tal comienzan su año laboral en Marzo.
Yo, Benjamin llegue con nuevas responsabilidades en el trabajo así que he tenido que ir aprendiendo sobre la marcha a poder hacer cosas distintas y ayudarle a mis compañeros a cumplir sus metas cada mes dentro de la empresa.
La iglesia ha ido creciendo cada vez más y poco a poco se han seguido llegando más familias con hijos pequeños. De repente algunos rostros que veíamos, han dejado de llegar. Un motivo mas para orar no? Que Dios les de el animo para poder apartar ese breve tiempo cada Domingo y poder recibir una palabra de parte del Señor.
Si recuerdas mencionamos en la carta anterior que estábamos orando por un lugar nuevo para poder rentar como nuestra casa, y el Señor fue preciso en responder mas allá de nuestras expectativas y encontramos un departamento mas cerca del estadio nacional, en la comuna de Ñuñoa, que se acopla mejor a nuestras necesidades. Estamos muy contentos y agradecidos, al igual que expectantes de nuestra nueva temporada en otra localidad y las personas nuevas que lleguemos a conocer.
Ha sido un verdadero gozo poder seguir compartiendo tiempo junto a nuestros vecinos Ignacio y Elisa; te pedimos continúes orando por ellos. Que el Señor se haga muy presente en sus vidas.
Como Iglesia también seguimos expectantes de los siguientes meses, las actividades que estamos comenzando, deseamos comenzar un discipulado para nuevos creyentes, lo estaremos iniciando los días Miércoles y esperamos que Dios mueva el corazón de las familias y personas dentro de nuestra Iglesia para que puedan continuar conociendo y creciendo en Dios.
Por ultimo queremos contarles que de nuestras 3 mascotas que tuvimos que dejar en Mexico, Milka que era de Romi quien se estaba quedando en Merida con unos amigos y pastores muy amados se ha visto en necesidad de regresar con nosotros. Dentro del corazón de Romi era un deseo muy profundo poder tener al menos a uno de los tres. Así que han sido semanas de mucha planeaciones y próximamente Romi tendrá que viajar en Mayo para poder ir a Ciudad de México por ella, y traerla a Chile.
PETICIONES DE ORACION
- Por nuestra familia en Mexico, que el Señor siga afirmando lo que tiene para ellos allá en Mexico y puedan ver el cuidado del Señor en lo que Dios les ha puesto por delante
- Por nuestros pastores Diego y Verena, que el Señor les siga afirmando en el llamado que les ha dado y les de abundantemente todo lo que necesitan para responder a El y poder seguir impactando vidas en esta ciudad estando al frente De la Iglesia, por sabiduría y dirección de parte De Dios para ellos.
- Por Ivan y Nicole que son parte del equipo con quienes estamos sirviendo, que de igual manera Dios les afirme y sostenga en el llamado que han recibido a servir al Señor en la Iglesia.
- Por nuestra mudanza, que no tengamos trabas para salir ni acomodarnos en nuestro nuevo lugar, que podamos ser de testimonio en nuestra salida y entrada.
- Por los creyentes De la Iglesia que sean sensibles a lo que Dios habla cada Domingo y puedan tener disposición para tomar los disimulados.
- Por Dan y sus estudios, de repente hay días muy difíciles para Romi con todo el tema del TEA. Pero principalmente que nosotros como padres podamos ser usados por el Señor para con Dan y el pueda anhelar conocerle.
- Por el viaje de Romi y Milka a Chile, que Dios supla y provea lo necesario para traerla y no haya complicaciones en el proceso.
- Que Dios siga afianzando nuestra relación con El y nuestro matrimonio para que podamos conocerle en lo intimo y darle a conocer afuera como consecuencia.

This March was a time of great joy because we were able to make our first visit our homeland country, Mexico. Seeing our friends and family again has incredibly special for us. We were able to share good coffee, eat wonderful tacos, hear words of encouragement, spend time together and also share with them everything that the Lord has been doing this past year in Chile.
We’re almost reaching our first year since the day we left our country to follow the path God had laid out for our family here.
We are so thankful for the ones who have been reading each letter month after month and even more, praying for us and keeping us in their hearts.
It was beautiful to see Dan’s joy at reuniting with his grandparents, his aunt, and his closest friend in Mexico, Liam, as well as meeting his baby sister who was born four months ago.
Among the many errands we had scheduled—like going to the bank and fixing some other things—Romina was able to go to the Family Court to respond to a judge’s request regarding her cousin Damián, who has a major disability. We thank the Lord it was a quick process without any complications.
Our time in Mexico was short, but we made the most of it. God refreshed our spirits and strengthened us to return to Chile with much work ahead, since March is the month when everything returns to normal here because the seasons are opposite to those in Central and North America. The calendar at the country essentially begin their work year in March.
I, Benjamin, returned with new responsibilities at work, so I’ve had to learn on the job to do different tasks and help my coworkers meet their goals each month within the company.
The church has continued to grow and more families with young children have been joining each Sunday.
Suddenly some faces we used to see, have been absent. Another reason to pray for, right? That God would encourage them to set aside that brief time each Sunday to receive a word from the Lord.
If you remember, we mentioned in the previous letter we were praying for a new place for us, and the Lord answered more precisely than we expected. We actually found an apartment close to the National Stadium, in the Ñuñoa commune, which is more suitable to our needs. We are very happy and grateful, also expectant about our new season in a different neighborhood and the new people we will meet.
It has been a true joy spending time with our neighbors Ignacio and Elisa, please continue to pray for them. May the Lord make Himself very present in their lives in a way they can get to know him better.
As a church we are also expectant about the coming months and the activities ahead. On Wednesdays we’ll start discipleships for new believers, hoping and praying God will move the hearts of all families and people in our church to attend and grow in their relationship with the Lord.
Finally, as a family request we want to share with you that from the three dogs we had to leave in Mexico, Milka—Romina’s dog, who was staying in Mérida with some very dear friends and pastors Yoshimi and Lorena—now needs to come back with us. Romina deeply wished to have at least one of the three back with us, so there have been weeks of praying and planning. Romina will have to travel to Mexico City in May only to bring Milka to Chile. All this, of course needs economic resources but also lots of planning, investigating, arranging appointments and doing paperwork, as well as preparing our dog for such a long flight.
PRAYER REQUESTS
- For our family in Mexico, that the Lord would continue to confirm what He has for them there and they would see the Lord’s care in what He has placed before them.
- For our pastors Diego and Verena, that the Lord would continue to strengthen them in their calling and provide abundantly what they need to respond and keep impacting lives in this city while leading the church, for wisdom and direction from God.
- For Ivan and Nicole, who are part of the team we are serving with, that God would likewise confirm and sustain them in the call they have received to serve the Lord in the church.
- For our new apartment, that we would have no obstacles to leaving our current one or settling into our new place, that we might be a testimony in our departure and arrival.
- For the believers of the church, that they would be sensitive to what God speaks each Sunday and be willing to take the next steps in their lives.
- For the ones that have been absent for several weeks, that they find encouragement from there Lord to gather once again.
- For Dan —some days are challenging for Romi with his ASD and she needs lots of patience. Above all, we as parents want to be used by the Lord in Dan’s life so that he will get to know Him.
- For Romi’s trip and Milka’s travel to Chile, that God would supply and provide what is necessary to bring her and that there would be no complications in the process.
- That God would continue to strengthen our relationship with Him and in our marriage, so we may know Him intimately and make Him known outwardly as a result.
