Comienza el último mes de este 2025. Parece difícil creer que hace un año estaba visitando por primera vez Santiago, exactamente el 7 de diciembre del 2024, dos días después del incendio de la casa en México.
Muchas cosas se habían juntado en esos momentos hace un año, y lo único que traía esperanza a mi corazón era saber que todo lo que Dios estaba haciendo en nosotros como familia iba a obrar para bien, y poder conocerle más.
No fue difícil ver que todo se estaba alineando para que pudiéramos tomar ese paso de movernos a Chile, sin embargo había incertidumbre por los tiempos y las formas.
Cuando volteamos a ver lo que Dios nos ha permitido vivir este año, simplemente podemos decir lo que decía Samuel: “Ebenezer”, que quiere decir "hasta aquí ha sido bueno Dios”.
Dios nos ha dado mas de lo que esperábamos en este año, y nos ha sorprendido con su provisión constante en todo sentido. Sin duda muchas veces no entendemos los planes del Señor, pero por eso la respuesta De Dios sigue siendo la misma: “No temas, porque yo estoy contigo”
Este diciembre fue importante en Chile por la elección de su nuevo presidente. Aunque en la población había una fuerte división de poderes, como iglesia pudimos estar orando por el nuevo presidente y confiando en la soberanía del Señor.
Como iglesia estamos estudiando en el libro de hecho los domingos, y los miércoles estuvimos terminando un pequeño discipluado en el que les estuve enseñando herramientas para poder compartir la fe. Aprovechando las fechas, un domingo antes de Navidad hubo un mensaje especial en el que recordamos la importancia de celebrar el nacimiento de Cristo, y pudimos abrir la invitación a mas personas.
La historia de cada una de las personas que Dios ha añadido a la iglesia ha sido curiosa, ya que la iglesia está ubicada en un cowork que está en el sótano de un edificio que está cerrado los domingos, y que difícilmente podría llegar una persona sin invitación, por que hasta el día de hoy no ponemos un letrero afuera en la calle que indique que nos reunimos como iglesia cristiana ahí. Pero ha sido bello como el Señor los ha traído, en su mayoría han sido personas que están en búsqueda de iglesia y que son extranjeros (no chilenos).
Hemos podido pasar tiempo con nuestros vecinos, en especial con una pareja que conocimos desde que llegamos, Ignacio y Elisa. Este mes de diciembre Romina pudo regalarle una Biblia a Elisa, ya que veces anteriores Romina había accedido a ir a un club de lectura a donde ella la invitaba y ya había un contexto en donde Elisa se encontraba interesada en la lectura de la Biblia. Oramos porque el Señor nos siga dando momentos para compartir el evangelio con ellos. De igual forma la mama soltera Fiorela y su hija Ade (de la edad de Dan), han podido pasar tiempo juntos y Romina ha aprovechado para hablar de lo que creemos y la razón por la cual estamos acá en Chile. Sabemos que no es casualidad conocerles.
En estas fechas los últimos 8 años la habíamos pasado con mi suegra, mis papás y mi hermana. Y como toda familia organizábamos la cena navideña, juegos, canciones, y por su puesto nos tomábamos un tiempo para agradecer lo que el Señor nos había bendecido ese año, pero este diciembre fue diferente a los demás, y Dios no deja de tener ese cuidado y ese amor para con nosotros, ya que no solo nos permitió pasar esta Navidad con la familia de nuestro pastor, con una cena espléndida y hermosa compañía, sino que también nos permitió sentirnos amados a la distancia por muchas personas que nos bendecían con regalos, o con mensajes y oraciones que se sintieron como un abrazo al corazón.
Gracias a cada uno de nuestros hermanos, amigos y familia que se tomaron un tiempo para pensar en nosotros. En verdad el Señor en esto nos permite recibir y dar de lo mucho que Él es. ¡¡Aprovechando también para desearles felices fiestas y un feliz 2026!!
Peticiones de oración.
- Seguimos pidiendo que nos ayuden a orar por el permiso de trabajo que aún no se resuelve. Este mes de diciembre intenté investigar cómo va el proceso, y no me pueden dar resolución, así que lo único que queda es esperar a que me conteste el consulado por medio de correo.
- En Marzo de 2026 tenemos pensado ir a México, pedimos oración para que el Señor nos hable en ese viaje, y nos ayude a ser sensibles en la dirección que él nos quiere dar.
- Petición por las iglesias cristianas en Santiago, que el Señor nos siga uniendo y nos permita tener instancias en donde podamos tener comunión entre iglesias.
- Por nuestra familia, que el Señor nos ayude a mantenernos alerta ante las adversidades, y nos de fe para seguir dependiendo de Él en todo.

The last month of 2025 begins. It seems hard to believe that a year ago I was visiting Santiago for the first time, exactly on December 7, 2024, two days after the house fire in Mexico.
Many things had come together during that time a year ago, and the only thing that brought hope to my heart was knowing that everything God was doing in us as a family would work for good, and that we would come to know Him more.
It was not difficult to see that everything was aligning so that we could take the step of moving to Chile; however, there was uncertainty about the timing and the way it would all happen.
When we look back at what God has allowed us to live through this year, we can simply say what Samuel said: “Ebenezer,” which means, “Thus far the Lord has helped us.”
God has given us more than we expected this year, and He has surprised us with His constant provision in every way. Without a doubt, many times we do not understand the Lord’s plans, but that is why God’s answer remains the same: “Do not be afraid, for I am with you.”
This December was important in Chile because of the election of its new president. Although there was a strong division of powers among the population, as a church we were able to pray for the new president and trust in the Lord’s sovereignty.
As a church, we continue with our studies in the book of Acts on Sundays, and on Wednesdays we finished a small discipleship course in which I was teaching tools to help share the faith. Taking advantage of the season, on a Sunday before Christmas there was a special message in which we remembered the importance of celebrating the birth of Christ, and we were able to extend the invitation to more people.
The story of each person God has added to the church has been unique, since the church is located in a coworking space in the basement of a building that is closed on Sundays, and it would be very difficult for someone to arrive without an invitation, because to this day we do not have a sign outside on the street indicating that we gather there as a Christian church. Yet it has been beautiful to see how the Lord has brought them. Most of them have been people who are looking for a church and who are foreigners (non-Chilean).
We have been able to spend time with neighbors here at home, especially with a couple we met since we arrived, Ignacio and Elisa. This month of December, Romina was able to give Elisa a Bible as a gift, since on previous occasions Romina had agreed to go to a book club to which she invited her, and there was already a context in which Elisa was interested in reading the Bible. We pray that the Lord will continue to give us moments to share the gospel with them. In the same way, Fiorela and her daughter Ade (who is Dan’s age) have been able to spend time with Romina, and also with good oportunities to talk about what we believe and the reason why we are here in Chile. We know it is not by chance that we have met them.
For the past eight years, we had spent these dates with my mother-in-law, my parents, and my sister. Like every family, we would organize the Christmas dinner, games, songs, and of course we would take time to give thanks for how the Lord had blessed us that year. But this December was different from the others, and God has not stopped showing His care and love for us. He not only allowed us to spend this Christmas with our pastor’s family, with a wonderful dinner and beautiful fellowship, but He also allowed us to feel loved from afar by many people who blessed us with gifts, or with messages and prayers that felt like a hug to the heart.
Thank you to each one of our brothers, friends, and family who took time to think of us. Truly, through this the Lord allows us to receive and give from the abundance of who He is. Taking this opportunity as well to wish you happy holidays and a happy 2026!!
Prayer Requests
- We continue to ask for your prayers regarding the work permit that is still unresolved. This month of December I tried to investigate how the process is going, but they cannot give me a resolution, so the only thing left is to wait for the consulate to respond by email.
- In March 2026 we are planning to go to Mexico. We ask for prayer that the Lord would speak to us during that trip and help us be sensitive to the direction He wants to give us.
- A prayer request for the Christian churches in Santiago, that the Lord would continue to unite us and allow us to have opportunities for fellowship among churches.
- For our family, that the Lord would help us remain alert in the face of adversity and give us faith to continue depending on Him in everything.
