"Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving. At the same time, pray also for us, that God may open a door for the message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ... that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should."
Colossians 4:2–4
Prayer has been one of the greatest reminders of why God brought us here. Knowing that so many of you faithfully pray for us gives us the strength and encouragement we need to keep serving where the Lord has called us. Thank you for standing with us in prayer, and please continue praying for us.
It's hard to believe we're already halfway through the year! These past two months have been a wonderful reminder that we are called to live each day in light of Christ's return. The Lord has continued to encourage us, challenge us, and show us His faithfulness in so many ways.
In June, we celebrated our church's first anniversary! Looking back over this past year, we can't help but praise God for His goodness and faithfulness. It has been incredible to watch the passion in the hearts of new believers—a desire to grow in their relationship with Him and to know His Word more deeply.
We are also excited to welcome Annie as the newest member of our worship team. Seeing people step forward with willing hearts to serve the Lord is always a big encouragement.
Benjamin has also had the opportunity to teach the Word a few Sunday mornings, while we continue serving together in the worship ministry each week. We started uploading our Sunday messages to Spotify as a resource for our church family. One unexpected blessing has been seeing some of Benjamin's coworkers take an interest in listening to the sermons. We continue praying that God will use His Word to reach more people throughout the Santiago metropolitan area and that our church will continue to grow as the Gospel spreads.
We also celebrated Dan's fifth birthday—his second birthday here in Chile! It was such a joy for him to celebrate with people who have become like family to us. One thing the Lord has continually impressed on our hearts is that however long He allows us to serve here, we want to make the most of every opportunity to point people to Him.
Our church anniversary was a beautiful celebration of God's faithfulness. We enjoyed breakfast together followed by a special worship service. Seeing new faces every Sunday. We are still meeting in the same location, but we're slowly beginning to outgrow the space especially because our children's ministry. We trust that when the time comes, the Lord will faithfully provide exactly what we need.
In the meantime, we've been participating in a discipleship program that has helped us grow in learning how to disciple others and faithfully share our testimony of what Christ has done in our lives. We are so thankful for Landon, Megan, and their wonderful children, who have been such a blessing to us through this time of discipleship and encouragement.
After more than a year of living in Chile, God has also blessed us with meaningful friendships. Jean and Deni have become very dear friends, and we've been deeply encouraged by the way they faithfully serve the Lord both inside and outside the church. Friendships like these strengthen us and remind us that we are not serving alone. We would also appreciate your prayers for their church, Calvary Chapel Shemá, that the Lord would continue strengthening the believers there and use the church to reach many more people with the Gospel.
Over the past couple of months, Benjamin has also had several opportunities to share the hope of Christ with his coworkers. The Lord has given him boldness to speak about his faith and to encourage friends who are walking through difficult seasons. We know God's Word never returns empty, and we trust that He will bring fruit from every seed that has been planted. Please continue praying for Benjamin—that his faith would remain strong and that his testimony would continue pointing others to Christ.
Dan sends his love to all of you and is already looking forward to meeting many of you someday! Lately, he's learned how to read and has started memorizing his very first Bible verses. One thing that has especially warmed our hearts is seeing that, just like Mom and Dad, he loves to draw. These days, his favorite things to draw are hearts, houses, Stitch, churches, and Bibles.
We're thankful for the ways the Lord is shaping his heart during these early years, and we pray that one day he'll look back and remember that following Jesus is always worth it. Homeschooling certainly has its challenges, but it has also been one of God's sweetest gifts for us. Next month we'll be purchasing his curriculum for the upcoming school year, and Romina would appreciate your prayers as she continues teaching him—that the Lord would give her wisdom, patience, grace, and joy each day.

Perseverad en la oración, velando en ella con acción de gracias; orando también al mismo tiempo por nosotros, para que el Señor nos abra puerta para la palabra, a fin de dar a conocer el misterio de Cristo, por el cual también estoy preso, para que lo manifieste como debo hablar. Colosenses 4:2-4
La oración es algo que nos ha mantenido recordando la razón por la cual estamos acá. Y las oraciones de cada uno de ustedes nos sostiene cumpliendo la tarea que el Señor nos encomendó. No dejen de orar por nosotros.
Es sorprendente que ya vamos a mitad de año y que estamos a 5 meses de terminar el año. Estos dos últimos meses Dios nos ha llevado a ver la urgencia de poder vivir a la luz de su venida.
En el mes de Junio, pudimos celebrar un año como iglesia. Sin duda es impresionante ver la bondad del Señor y Su fidelidad. Como Dios enciende el fuego en el corazón de nuevos creyentes a poder crecer en su fe y conocimiento. Nos alegra mucho el hecho de tener a Annie, una nueva integrante en el ministerio de alabanza.
Benjamin ha tenido la oportunidad de compartir en Domingo esporádicamente, y los dos continuamos juntos dirigiendo la alabanza. Tiene un par de semanas que comenzamos a subir los mensajes de cada domingo en Spotify para proveer a la iglesia de este recurso, y nos hemos llevado la sorpresa de que personas del trabajo de Benjamin se han interesado en escucharlos. Estamos ansiosos de que la iglesia pueda continuar creciendo y extendiéndose a mas personas en esta zona Metropolitana de Santiago.
Pudimos celebrar el cumpleaños 5 de Dan, ya el segundo que cumple acá en Chile. En donde pudo pasar en compañía de gente querida. Hemos tenido algo muy claro, y es que el tiempo que el Señor nos permita estar acá, queremos aprovecharlo al máximo y seguir compartiendo de Él.
En la iglesia cumplimos 1 año y con eso fue recordar la fidelidad De Dios. Tuvimos un desayuno con la iglesia y un servicio especial. Es hermoso ver como hay caras nuevas cada Domingo. Actualmente nos seguimos reuniendo en el mismo lugar, pero poco a poco nos comenzará a faltar espacio sobre todo por los niños que cada vez son más, pero confiamos en que el Señor proveerá lo que necesitemos cuando llegue el momento. Por lo pronto hemos estado con un programa de discipulado y hemos podido aprender más acerca de cómo discipular y dar testimonio de nuestra fe en Cristo con otros. Damos tantas gracias a Landon, Megan y sus bellos hijos, que nos han podido bendecir con estos discipulados.
Después de mas de 1 año residiendo aquí, también hemos coincidido con mas hermanos en la fe, como Jean y Deni que son entrañables amigos ahora, y que nos ha impactado la forma en la que están sirviendo al Señor dentro y fuera de la Iglesia. Son esas amistades que nos fortalecen y nos animan a seguir con la gran comisión que se nos ha encomendado. Pedimos igual oración por la iglesia Calvary Chapel Shemá, que es la iglesia a la que asisten, para que el Señor siga afirmando a cada creyente, y les siga dando crecimiento para alcanzar a más personas.
En estos dos últimos meses también Benjamin ha tenido la oportunidad de compartir de Jesús con compañeros de su trabajo, y el Señor le ha dado gracia para hablar con denuedo y dar palabras de aliento a amigos que han pasado situaciones difíciles. Sabemos que la Palabra no regresará vacía y que habrá fruto en donde se ha sembrado. Sigan orando mucho por Benjamin, para que su fe no falte y su testimonio sea de bendición para las personas que lo rodean.
Dan les manda muchos saludos y pronto espera ver a cada uno de ustedes, aunque no los conozca. Estos últimos días ha aprendido a leer, y ha estado memorizando ya sus primeros versículos de la Biblia, pero algo que nos ha conmovido mucho es que al igual que sus papás, ama dibujar. Sus dibujos se han resumido a corazones, casas, Stich, iglesias y biblias. De alguna forma sabemos que lo que está viviendo en estos años de su vida lo va a marcar para bien y el día de mañana recordará que vale la pena seguir a Jesús. No es fácil hacer homeschool, sin embargo es un regalo enorme cuando el Señor nos da la oportunidad para hacerlo. Este siguiente mes estaremos adquiriendo el material para su siguiente año escolar, y oramos que el Señor siga dándome gracia, paciencia, amor y dedicación para seguir enseñando a mi hombrecito.
Muchas gracias por siempre estar al pendiente de nosotros y aún por medio de estas cartas mantenerse enterados de lo que el Señor está haciendo por medio de esta aventura de fe. Les amamos y esperamos pronto tenerles noticias acerca de cuando estaremos de visita en México.
